Inspiring young people to follow a creative  career path

Amazing art opportunity for two year 8 pupils from your school

26th – 30th June

Heritage Learning, Hull College and the Ferens Art Gallery invite you to select two promising young artists from year 8 to join Summer School this June. This fully funded summer school is an exciting opportunity for young people to get involved with the high profile, national ARTIST ROOMS programme and Skin exhibition to create artwork inspired by the prestigious ARTIST ROOMS Ron Mueck exhibition and through the Skin exhibition which includes Manet, Freud and Spencer Tunick.

Heritage Learning would like to use this fantastic show to inspire young people and offer an insight into creative career pathways. You are invited to select two young people whom you feel will benefit most from the experience.

The five day programme will work with up to 15 young people from across Hull, with selected schools nominating up to 2 pupils from year 8 to take part. Young people will have exclusive access to the exhibition at the Ferens Art Gallery, taking inspiration from the artists’ careers. They will then access the facilities and expertise of Hull College with specialist workshops where they will create artwork for their own exhibition.
